Repairs Overview

Track customer repair jobs from intake to completion and checkout.

What You Can Do

  • Create repair tickets - Log items for repair

  • Track progress - Monitor repair status

  • Record work done - Document labour and parts

  • Notify customers - Let them know when ready

  • Checkout repairs - Complete and take payment

Repair Workflow

Repairs follow a standard process. Search and filtering can be conducted using these statuses

  1. Check In - Customer drops off item and repair request created

  2. Pending - Repair request to be reviewed by Staff member

  3. Diagnosed - Repair problem assessed

  4. In Progress - Work being done

  5. Waiting for Parts - Parts required to complete repair

  6. Complete - Repair finished

  7. Ready for Pickup - Customer notified

  8. Completed - Customer picked up

  9. Cancelled - repair cancelled

Accessing Repairs

  1. Click Repairs in the main menu

  2. See all current repairs

  3. Filter by status or customer

  4. Find using search function

Repair Information

Ticket Number - Unique repair reference

Customer - Who owns the item

Item - What's being repaired

Problem - Description of issue

Status - Current stage

Technician - Assigned staff

Due Date - Expected completion

Tips

Write detailed problem descriptions so technicians know what to look for.

Keep status updated so customers can check progress.

Document item condition at intake to avoid disputes.
