Categories

Categories help organise your products for easier management and reporting.

Viewing Categories

Categories are shown in the product filter dropdown and in the admin panel.

Using Categories

In POS

  • Filter products by category

  • Browse category sections

In Reports

  • View sales by category

  • Analyse category performance

In Product Management

  • Assign products to categories

  • Bulk move products between categories

Category Hierarchy

Categories can have subcategories:

Electronics
+-- Computers
|   +-- Laptops
|   +-- Desktops
+-- Phones
+-- Accessories

Tips

Don't create too many categories. 5-15 main categories is usually enough.

Use consistent naming so products are easy to find.

Managing Categories

Categories are managed in the Admin Panel. Contact your administrator to add or change categories.
